Using Dreamweaver

Macromedia / Adobe Dreamweaver uses FTP to upload web pages. You will just need to configure a new "site" in Dreamweaver, with the following information: In these examples, please replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name that you are trying to connect to. These instructions assume you know your master web hosting username and password. If you do not know then, see your Web Hosting Instructions.

Newer Versions of Dreamweaver:

Server Name:   Anything you want
Connect Using:   FTP
FTP Address:   yourdomain.com (Port is 21)
Username:   Your Web Hosting Username (or other FTP account username assigned to you)
Password:   The password associated with the FTP account you are using.
Root Directory:   public_html (assuming you are working with the primary website in your account)
Web URL:   http://www.yourdomain.com

Older Versions of Dreamweaver:

Access:   FTP
FTP Host:   yourdomain.com
Login:   Your Web Hosting Username (or other FTP account username assigned to you)
Password:   The password associated with the FTP account you are using.
Host Directory:   public_html (assuming you are working with the primary website in your account)
Passive FTP:   Checked
Then, you will use the PUT command under the Site menu to upload the web page. There is also an option within Dreamweaver to automatically upload the page each time you save.

NOTE: If you don't know your web hosting login ID and password, you can have that info resent to you. Please contact QTH.com Support for assistance.
