Email Verification Required for all New or Modified Domain Registrations

As of January 1, 2014, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has mandated that all domain name providers, like QTH.com, begin verifying the WHOIS contact information for all new domain registrations and Registrant contact modifications, as well as domain name transfers.

After registering and paying for a domain name, you will receive an email like the example below, sent to you directly from the domain registrar. You will have to click the link that says "Click here to verify your email address" and then follow the directions to verify your contact information.

You will have approximately two weeks to click the link to verify your email address. If you do not do this, then your domain name will be suspended (become non-functional), however you will still own the domain name. If you visit your website, it will show a message indicating the domain is suspended, and it will provide instructions for how to have the verification email sent to you again.  You can also change the email address associated with your domain registration, via our website, and that will also generate a new verification email.  Once you click the link in the email to verify your email address, the domain will be un-suspended (it may take a few minutes to hours).

Here is a sample of the email you will receive:
